Belgium, produces some of the world’s best flax; with excellent raw material quality, however, Belgian linen is often very under-styled compared to Italian linen. France is large in flax production and also, sustainable farming with very natural and durable material, however it lacks the luxurious finishing of Italian linen. Ireland is historic for producing strong and coarse linen ideal for durability and mass production. Irish linen is rugged and long-lasting but often heavier and less refined. Eastern Europe (Lithuania, Poland) carries affordable, durable linen however has less refined weaving overall cheaper quality.
